What to do when your loved one dies:
- If the person is on hospice, call your hospice contact first. Hospice will come to your home to confirm death and pronounce time of death. They will then call the funeral home for you.
- If the person is Not on hospice and the death occurs at home, call a funeral home and they will coordinate with the coroner's office. Below are two funeral homes in our area who we work with frequently:
- Accent Funeral Home, 208-888-5833
- Cloverdale Funeral Home, 208-375-2212
- Once you have contacted the funeral home, call our parish office, 208-375-6651. One of our team members at the front desk, will assign a Deacon who will reach out to meet with you and your family. The Deacon will assist in working with the funeral home and all the details they will need in planning your loved one's funeral Mass.
- If you call us after hours, or when the St. Mark’s office is closed, please leave your name, phone number, and the name of the person who has passed away. Our team will call you back as soon as possible or the next business day.
- We ask that you respectfully embrace our worship and liturgy protocols.
