With gratitude for Father Reggie’s years of service, His Excellency, Bishop Peter Christensen announced today (January 13th) at the 11:00am Mass that Father Reggie will be assigned as pastor to Priest River and Priest Lake (St. Catherine’s and St. Blanche’s) beginning February 2nd.
Because of the immediate need for a priest to celebrate Mass in Priest River (currently there are no Masses being celebrated there) and shepherd the flock, Fr. Reggie's new assignment was expedited.
Father Reggie has been a gift to us at St. Mark’s and he has dutifully, with full heart, served particularly the home bound and those in nursing homes with pastoral visits, Masses and emergency calls, not to mention his presence in our parish school; especially while I was convalescing. We love Father Reggie and wish him all the best on this new opportunity to bless another community as he has done so well here at St Mark’s!
We will celebrate the gift that Fr. Reggie is and has been to our community after each Mass next weekend, January 19th and 20th. Let's show Father Reggie the love we have for him and send him with our prayers, both for him and his new community.
When more information is provided, an announcement will be made concerning our new Parochial Vicar, who will be stepping in to Father Reggie’s prior role here at St Mark’s.
In peace and in the love of our Savior, Jesus, I remain, sincerely, yours in Christ,
Father Ben Uhlenkott, Pastor
