Welcome Father Vitalis

Please join us at the Knights of Columbus’ Pancake Breakfast this Sunday after each morning Mass, for a “Meet and Greet” with Fr. Vitalis

I am from the South Eastern part of Nigeria. Born into a Catholic family of seven children, two males and five females. I am the fifth child in my family. I entered the Seminary in 1999 after High School and studied Philosophy and Theology at Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, and Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri, (both in the South Eastern part of Nigeria). I was ordained a priest on July 24, 2010.

I served as the Secretary General of my Order and as the Spiritual Director and Chaplain to two Mission High Schools for five years. I studied basic computer programming and web design and was the Director of Communication to the Order for two years. I arrived in the United States in April 2018 and completed a Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the University of California Davis Medical Center, Sacramento.

I am glad to be among the people of God in Boise, where I just arrived last month! I will happily serve St. Mark’s as the Parochial Vicar. I enjoy serving the people of God and being with and among them in their journeys of life. This gives peace to my soul. I ask God for the missionary zeal of St Paul the Apostle.
