Father Ben is a native of Idaho having been raised in Cottonwood, Idaho. After high school, he attended Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho and found his calling to the priesthood and his educational development at Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon. He has had a number of assignments within the Diocese of Boise including Holy Apostles, Risen Christ, the parish in Mountain Home, and now St. Mark’s parish.He is an avid hunter and outdoors “person” and loves encouraging the youth of our community in their spiritual walk with the Lord.

Fr. Reginald U. Nwauzor

Father Reginald Nwauzor
Ordained July 19, 1980


Father Reginald was ordained a priest on July 19, 1980 for the diocese of Aba, Nigeria. In the Diocese of Aba, Father Reginald served as a parochial vicar, rector of a minor Seminary, pastor in many parishes and a host of other ministerial positions. Here in the United States, he has served in the diocese of Pittsburgh and Las Vegas, respectively. In the last ten years, he has ministered in the diocese of Boise in the Southern and Eastern Deaneries. He enjoys all areas of ministry with particular interest in the liturgical celebration of the Mass. Above all, he enjoys every ministry associated with the care of the sick, the homebound, nursing homes, and the poor. He says, “I see the different faces of Jesus in them.”

 Deacon Jim Bowen

Deacon Jim Bowen
Ordained May 29, 1982

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Jim spent time during WWII and beyond in the Navy, married Terry in 1950, helped raise six children, retired from General Dynamics in 1982, shortly after having been ordained a deacon in San Diego, California.Jim and Terry moved to Boise in 1988. Deacon Jim assists where needed in Liturgy, witnesses weddings and helps with vigils and funerals.

 Deacon Clyde Brinegar

Deacon Clyde Brinegar
Ordained: October 26, 2013 

Deacon Clyde is a native of Idaho, born in Weiser and raised in Burley. He and his wife Kathleen met at Idaho State University and have been married over 34 years. They have three children, Katy, Keriann, and Mark. Clyde focuses his ministry efforts on RCIA and other catechesis opportunities. Apologetics and “Defending the Faith” are new areas of interest as he shares his journey. Clyde joined the church in April 2000 and just recently completed his studies through the Diocese of Boise, Servant School to become a deacon within the diocese.

 Deacon Mike Lowe

Deacon Mike Lowe

Ordained in 2005, Deacon Mike and his wife (Linda) are actively involved in St. Marks. He and his wife met in high school 47 years ago, have three boys and four grandchildren. Linda is involved in the Quilting ministry, Mana ministry and Outreach. Deacon Mike handles the emergency calls for anyone needing the Anointing of the Sick (or last rites); Deacon Mike also coordinates: Outreach Ministry for the Retirement homes, Nursing facilities and the home-bound; the LAZARUS ministry which works with families dealing with the dying and death of loved, planning a vigil or funeral; for training Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (Eucharistic Ministers) for Communion for Mass or Outreach; he also helps when requested with Baptisms and Weddings.

 Deacon Terry Nelson

Deacon Terry has been a Pharmacist for 40 years. He is married to Rita and has six grown children in their combined families as well as 10 grandchildren and three dogs. His interests include his family, trains and fishing. He is involved in Marriage Preparation classes, Annulments and the Reel Men ministry.

 Deacon Jim Pasker

Deacon Jim Pasker

Deacon Jim and his wife, Mary have played a vital role at St. Mark’s and the community. Along with normally scheduled Mass liturgy and added deacon assignments, Jim is the coordinator for the Sacrament of Baptism, providing instruction and assisting parents and godparents.  He is also a presenter for the Journey through Scripture series of bible studies, Spiritual Director for the St. Mark’s Evangelization Retreats, and serves on the Spiritual Development committee for the St. Mark’s strategic plan.  Jim and his wife Mary are also mentors for couples in formation for the diaconate.

 Deacon Joe Rodriguez

Deacon Joe Rodriguez

Deacon Joe works routinely in the Liturgy and assists with the Latino Ministry. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. He and his wife, Alma, have been an integral part of the St. Mark’s Catholic Community for many years.
