Baptism

Children
“Let the children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” -Mark 10:14

Children under the age of 6 can receive the sacrament when supported by their parents.  Baptism preparation for children provides necessary information and background on this Sacrament for those in our parish community who have children to be baptized.  The classes for parents are scheduled at 10:00 AM the second Saturday of the month.

Study material is included.  After attending the class, parents schedule the Baptism with the priest or deacon, and fill out the necessary paperwork.  Baptism Sunday is the third Sunday of each month.  Please check the bulletin for updates and changes. For more information contact Deacon Jim Pasker at (208) 898-1476.

Children in 2nd to 8th grade who are seeking to be baptized or did not receive first Holy Communion in the 2nd grade, are invited, with their parents, to receive sacramental preparation in our Family RCIA program. The children and their families will learn many of the basic beliefs of the Church and will prepare for the sacraments of Baptism (if not already baptized),Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.

Adults

Adults who have never been baptized normally go through the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA).
